If you have the time and the interest then why not? Visually I love the GBC style moreso than the GBA style so if minimalist stuff appeals to you there's that.

Definitely play Yellow out of the three of them, the Pikachu gimmick is really cute and some of the bugs have been squashed. (Note that Pikachu doesn't have buffed stats so cute is about the most you can hope from him.)

I bought FireRed, Platinum, HeartGold, and Black 2 used but included them because haven't played them yet. My cousin also gave me his OG Red Version some 14+ years ago but I only used it to borrow his E4 team.
