>>45327375>More on OlivuxWell since thread's gonna die soon why not. The Olivux region is massive, easily 3 regions in scale. A web of freeways and an interstae are needed to traverse as flying by pokemon only goes so far. A mass of rivers also spider along from the ocean and travel by ferry is another option, but that's more for tourists since the travel itself is inefficient. The region is dotted with 14 gyms with the League at the heart, but due to distance only 8 badges are required to participate in the finals.
>The more badges a trainer has beyond the 8th, the higher their beginning placement is in the FinalsCulturally, Olivux is a mix of modernity and tradition - proud of its cultural past and eager to carve its way forward into the future. Reverence to the regional legendary (which I'll just call [thunderbird] since I still don't have a name) is all over the place. Shrines litter towns and city capitals. [thunderbird] is a symbol of strength and prosperity, and the Olivux Champion is adorned in a regalia made in [thunderbird]'s likeness.
The Champion's Regalia is supposedly based off of a mythical figure currently remembered as the Undying Hero. According to myth, this man gave his life to slay the greatest foe of [thunderbird], the horned serpent (its name had been lost to time). The Olivux Champion was to then raise the mantle of the hero and protect the region from the wicked shadows that threaten man and pokemon alike. Curiously, these champions have either retired or mysteriously vanished - only three times has a champion been defeated for their title. Consequently the Champion is a respected and valued position, but one that isn't envied.
