I would have thought that the battle would have followed the previous fights between Ash and Alan which all started the same way.

The battle thinking about it reminds me of the first Wulfric battle which had a different tone then the rematch.
This battle against Alan had a darker more serious, almost grim feel to it.
>Fight in the rain>No hype building musicI don't know, I honestly can say I'm not to excited about the remaining episodes of XY after today. Considering the fact Alola appears to not have Gyms that's 3-4 years without a League challenge and then another 3-4 years before Gen 8's League should it have one.
I'll be 27-28 by then and as despair posty as it feels after todays episode I don't feel excited about the rest of the season. Even if Serena won the Ash I'd still consider the series a loss.
It did give us this shot though which makes me laugh at how fabulous Greninja looks.
