I remember seeing early screenshots from the games back in ‘98-‘99, or whenever Yellow recently came out, in a gaming magazine that was in Blockbuster. I specifically remember pic-related in one of the screenshots and I think the article basically was saying Japan was working on a new Pokémon game, it didn’t many details besides a few thumbnail screenshots. I think the magazine also had Robopon in it, if that helps. It might have been on the same page, too.
