But yeah, they did a great job on Charizard. Keeps the original feel, while spices it up. I don't know if it was intentional, but the addition of the spikes- specifically the tail ones- actually hit a nostalgic nerve for me. I always very specifically remember Charmander having a back spike in his earlier works, that they took away almost immediately. Always thought it looked cool, and was dissapointed that he never had it return.
Still, loving the new design. Mah bro Charizard's making a come-back.
