>>31181415Back in the early/mid AG era, Advanceshipping rivaled Pokeshipping in popularity. Back then May was the first new female companion and we had no idea we'd get new ones every gen, so people who were bored of Pokeshipping or never liked it went over to Advanceshipping.
It's only now after Dawn, Serena, etc. exist that looking back on it now you won't know how popular it once was.
