Basically, if someone at Gamefreak suffered a simultaneous stroke, ulcer, heart attack, and rectal prolapse and decided to put you in charge of pokemon typing and effectiveness, what changes would you make and what logic would you have for them?
My first thoughts are on Fairy and Dragon types.
>Dragons are apex creatures and masters of the physical forces 'lesser beasts' of the world. They are resistant to fire, ice, grass, electric, water, and ground type attacks, while being super effective against rock, flying, bug, ground, and poison
>However, dragons mastery over the physical leaves them resisted by Fairy, Ghosts, and Psychics while weak to fairy, dark, and other dragons.
>A powerful fighting warrior or steel will deal neutral damage.
>Fairies, meanwhile, are masters of the metaphysical and resist psychics, ghosts, dark, and other fairies while super effective against dragons, dark, fighting, and dragons
>However, faries are often embodiments or chained to the primordial forces, meaning their fairy attacks are resisted by Rock, Water, Grass, Steel, Poison, Ice, Ground, water, and Bugs and are easily brought low by steel, ice, fire, and electric types.
Or something like that.
