Yellow was my first pokemon game as a kid, and I loved it. My only problem was that the Pikachu of course refused to evolve, so I traded it to my buddy's blue version and used a Thunderstone. I remember feeling so overpowered in game and thinking "Fuck yeah Ash get on my level"

The phrase "no weaknesses" instantly drew me to this guy in Ruby. Even though by mid game he wasn't really dishing out much damage and couldn't take many hits, I still kept him as a shouldermon in my young headcanon alongside my team of fully evolved mons, even taking him to the Hall of Fame. Prankster was a godsend years later
