I used to play a lot in Gen 6, which this is from, but I got demotivated by Tapus and UBs in Gen 7. I might pick up Gen 8 eventually but it's hard to knowing the meta is going to be warped by the DLCs anyway.

Good job, dude. People here have hit high strides before (pic related is me) but the thing is we're far and few -- people here on /vp/ don't often know what they're talking about when it comes to competitive and elect to remain ignorant more often than not (and unironically feed into verlis shit even), especially when considering our competitive general, /cpg/ got so many dead threads they eventually secluded themselves to a room on Showdown.

But to discuss OU, I think that it still has a ways to go. The OU Council has been slow in suspect roll-out and that's the main reason the meta's been stifled. Mega Meta's ban was the biggest step forward though so teambuilding is less constrained.

And yeah I gave you an example of something that exploits Lugia. You know what else does? Mega Sableye. You know what else does? Clefable. Even Heatran just shuts it down hard until players start adapting with running Water moves on it.
