Steven doesn't do shit in R/S. He helps you once in Emerald, but he isn't Champ in that one, Wallace is, and he did fuck all to help you. I'll note that Steven does give you the only Beldum in the game. Granted it's post-game, but it's better than nothing.
But Lance, on the other hand, is a lazy dick. He made you do the hard work in the Rocket Base and doesn't even show up when they take over the Radio Tower. He doesn't even give you anything for your hard work. Granted, he made Clair give you the Rising Bade after she ran away, but she's supposed to give you it. She was just being a bitch, like Lance.
Give Cynthia some credit. She at least accompanied you into the Distortion World and was about to fight Cyrus herself until you intervened. Plus she gave you a Togepi egg in Eterna, which is cool.
