>>51619257Diagnosed autist here. I've been carrying trading cards in cases and slabs with me ever since I was like 8 years old, I'm 27 now. I don't know why I really do it, I just feel incomplete if my "inventory" is completely empty and utility EDC items like my phone, wallet, lighter, and knife just don't fill that void for some reason. I just NEED something personal, some sort of toy or pretty picture, I don't really get it either because I don't even look at it or really fondle the object of interest that often I just need to sense it resting in my pocket or else I feel wrong. Sometimes it's other things too like dice or crystals but often it's trading cards. Often I will buy multiple copies of a card I love even if it's fairly expensive because I want one NM and slabbed for display and one ~LP that I don't care too much about (pocket dust always eventually ruins these cards) that will be slabbed up and carried with me.
Thanks for reading my blogpost no therapist will hopefully ever hear.
