blue tyrantrum was full odds on the first egg i hatched, instantly rocketed to the top of my favs list from that incident. similar deal with mareep, actually. just a chance encounter.
also, i'm a normal type specialist because, at some point recently - maybe last fall? - i noticed most of my very favorite pokémon are normal types, and since then i've leaned further into it. most of my teams feature 2-4 normal types now. normal has some of the weirdest, most purely 'pokémon' pokémon out there - like exploud! big fan of that guy. i also just broadly enjoy the type's aesthetics.
