Xerneas is hit centerfold, unable to dodge the attack, and is practically obliterated to hell and back with an overwhelming power of disintegration that just can't be matched, Xerneas' final cry of agony is one that grows quieter and quieter over time before fading out completely.
When the life-snatching beam shuts off, Xerneas is left standing for a fraction of a second before collapsing into the crater caused by the attack. Although Yveltal receives the benefits of the health stolen from Xerneas, it feels that its point has been made, and stays on the ground.
Neither of them move after that.
