I've been using a scarfed Braviary purely for fun in OU. It's surprisingly easy to fish for random intimidates with Lando-T/MegaMan/Gyarados running around. You can usually punish a lot of teams who don't have a big fat steel to protect them. And not every steel type does the trick, Ferro and M-Scizor don't appreciate taking repeated Brave Birds to the face. It also works well as a revenge killer against some dangerous megas due to its great STAB.
>+1 252 Atk Braviary Return vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Manectric: 288-339 (102.4 - 120.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
>+1 252 Atk Braviary Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Landorus-T: 186-219 (48.6 - 57.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
>4 Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Braviary: 250-296 (73.3 - 86.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
The main issue with it is not having enough speed to make use of that attack, and you NEED to run jolly so it can perform reliably when you need it the most. The difference matters:
>252+ Atk Braviary Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 116 Def Mega Scizor: 142-168 (41.3 - 48.9%) -- 77.3% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
>252 Atk Braviary Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 116 Def Mega Scizor: 129-153 (37.6 - 44.6%) -- 2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
But yeah, it's a lot of fun. IMO it's waaaay more viable than a fuckload of C rank pokes in the viability thread, but I'm a bit too lazy to make an /extensive/ case for it.
