Swamps, Mountains, Sand Dunes, there's even the NC Zoo, the largest in the world, that could easily be the safari zone.
Anyways, for Southern USA Pokemon, I would say mons like Chandelure (Literally the perfect spooky plantation Pokemon), Feraligatr, Fearow, Carnivine (Venus Fly Traps only grow in the carolinas), Rapidash (Outer Banks has wild horses), Crawdaunt (Crawdads are an iconic southern US food item and crustacean), Xatu (Native American stuff), Yanma, Volbeat and Illumise, Whiscash, there's a ton of potential here.
