OP is right about Zard. But different polls in different polls in different regions will lend different results. For example, that 2015 survey people like to post a lot had over 700,000 voters, making it one of the biggest official participant pools yet. Greninja won that one because he appeals more to Nippon. I'm pretty sure he's nearly twice as popular over there than in the US even if he's one of the few pokemon that has actual worldwide appeal. A definite Top 20 in popularity, though. Zard on the other hand seems like he has consistent appeal worldwide without too much focus in a single region, therefore the measurements are accurate. Reddit are a bunch of smug faggots for putting Eevee in top 10 and not Pikachu, though.
