>>55810034>both ingame and in the animeSurprise surprise, NEITHER is my own writing. I don’t have to abide by anything. If I want Koa’s dad to have a super strong Haxorus, that shouldn’t be SO outlandish. Are you seriously having that hard of a time understanding that I’m making it up? All of this is me making it up. I don’t have to do anything according to anyone else’s rules here, other than the core Pokémon setting rules. And the anime is extremely inconsistent anyway. Also, a single Pokémon’s power doesn’t mean the whole species is hard-capped. What Ash’s Pikachu can do isn’t what all Pikachu in the anime can do. Koa’s dad’s Haxorus can probably be as strong as Drayden’s or something, I dunno. Like water off a Camerupt’s back, why don’t you get this?
>You can’t do that either, because…I was never seriously considering it either, Alexanon. I was just trying to prove a point by mentioning a Pokémon that is clearly overpowered in the meta. I could’ve said Toxapex or Amoonguss or maybe Incineroar and it would’ve still made sense as a saying. I’m just not giving the meta any thought at all here. Yeah, type matchups are important, but by any and all means, nothing I write will have any competitive relevance because I’m writing a friggin’ shonen where the Pokémon are as strong as I say they are and you can probably lose a fight even with a type advantage because of strategy or sheer power. Or experience, like you said.
For the second time, I know that’s what you write, but it’s not what I want to do. It’s not that complicated, man.
