I regularly bitch about how it replaces the wave channel with a third pulse channel, fucking up songs that heavily take advantage of said channel like the Surf theme, but this is the first time I ran into one of the new songs' GB Sounds compositions being designed around three pulse channels. Trying to get it working into the wave channel was messier than I would have thought, I was almost tempted to just devamp the original version instead of basing it on GB Sounds.
