Peak Mato was great but alao limited, which just could never compare to peak Yamamoto who was always more versatile. Unfortunately during gen 5, Yamamoto stopped doing traditional artwork (paper, pens and alcohol markers) and started using Photoshop. Suddenly all the colored volume art looked disgusting because of how he shades everything digitally. He'd also been having health issues with his eyes lately, making it all worse. Don't look at the latest official volume cover art.
