>>45852685XY was when I started kinda hating the TCG because it introduced nonbasic pokemon as basics AGAIN (not counting Excadrill and Chandelure in LT because reasons, fuck you), and that almost made me quit the TCG back in the Platinum era because of all the fucking Pokemon SP, but at least back then, non-EX decks were still consistently viable, whereas in Gen 6 you were either playing EXes, playing something specifically created to counter EXes, or you fucking lost.
And then SM came out and brought GXes, and it's like they listened to the complaint that I and I alone was making about EXes being nonbasics as basics, but then they went and just FUCKED IT ALL UP AGAIN with fucking tag teams, and now Pokemon V are back to being nonbasic basics.
