I know there's a few people that want him to come back but I legitimately believe he's gone for good. Or at least the Ash we saw go through all those regions. From the giga leak we learned that the anime staff had wanted him gone for years and only just now got the chance. They're definitely gonna take their sweet time bringing him back if they ever do, probably a good 10 or 15 years. If he does come back it's going to have been so long that the most likely outcome will be a reboot. So Ash will be back but it's not gonna be the Ash everyone grew up with. The OG is never coming back.
