Its mostly opinion, but I agree that on the majority they're not exactly striking. Sure you know what Gen they're from at a glance (most of them) but overall I like most of them.
I think it has as much wrong with it as Gen V in that department (gears, ice cream, Sigilyph) but Gen V is my favorite since I and II so it has about as many problems as games from the previous Gens.
Stat wise, its a REALLY mixed bag from what I've been seeing.
As far as the game play goes, this has been the best one ever and I applaud all of the changes made and forgive the lack of a complete new 150 after seeing how much stuff is in this game
Also, we finally have a Panda so there's that.
