>>45005468>Nothing autistic about it, this is a HUGE concern among actual legit players.*that have no lives.
missed a clause there.
some (i.e. most) people enjoy it for bonding with virtual pets, the story and characters (coomers included, but some just think its comfy), or as an rpg, for the mindless skinnerbox solo story combat they can do while watching tv, or the strategic competitive.
Shiny hunting one particular mon just cause you adore it or its shiny sprite so much verges on autism, but can be a labor of love.
But "shiny markets" is for people with literally nothing better to do with their life, that slaving away at egg hatching, resets, or chain catching for meaningless recolor curiosities purely because of their rarity, except they're not even rare anymore.
It's like the kind of people who in middleschool if invited to a game of Spin the Bottle would break out the excel spreadsheets, protractors, and measuring tape to calculate everyone's odds based on seating positions and lap width, and never actually join the circle and maybe kiss someone, too preoccupied with trivial minutiae no one cares about but them, then get irate and throw a tantrum if a kissing couple decides to leave the circle to enjoy each other somewhere private because that messes up the measurements you've worked so hard on.
A U T I S M in its purest form.
