People hates it just for being a sand castle, being one of those objectmons that got hate just because they are uncommon in other RPG, like Vanilluxe (I'm not defending that design) or because people normally doesn't want goofy designs and wants more badass designs like pic or Sandman.EXE.
It's just another perspective of those RPG sandy monsters.
