>>36274476This thread reminded me of one particular Emerald playthrough of mine where the windows in Pokémon Trainers' School where fucked (looked like pic related). I tried googling if anyone knew about this back then but couldn't find anything, so I always thought my save file glitched or something.
But it seems like this mystery has finally been solved by now!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqdssikLGBkI checked the school often after noticing these "curtains" because part of me wasn't sure how I never noticed something so out of place but another part knew this bullshit shouldn't happen and wanted to observe. Even after starting a new game I kept going there whenever I remembered to check if they're back (they never where). So I'm glad to finally have some closure about this, especially since I never took a picture or anything to prove the "curtain's" existence.
Some less interesting ones:
- When I was very young I watched my cousin play probably Red or Blue, but her opponent's sprite looked like a scared Cyndaquil with it's flame out. Probably my then kid brain mixing up stuff, though.
- The Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town completely resetted itself after finishing it in Green. Every NPC needed to be fought again, including the rival and Marowak's ghost. None of my team members' level dropped, so I did save after the first time.
Kind of amusing considering it's the Pokémon Tower, but Green is even buggier that Red and Blue so nothing too out of the ordinary, I guess.
- I almost lost my Emerald save file after my GBA's battery died during saving. After booting the game up again my save appeared to be lost, but turning the system off and on while taking out and inserting the cartridge brought it back.
