>>38887213>>38887092I was the guy who wrote the thing in the first place. I said Venusaur was one of the ones that could be all three. I also find Charizard to be all three (I didn't think I needed to list them all out but I think his design is also good) and find Blastoise too adorable to see in any way "terrifying" since it's just too chubby to really be scary, but Blastoise can still be badass since it is, you know, a fucking tortoise with cannons jutting from his shell.
As I said I like all the starters and just because you like Charizard or Blastoise it doesn't mean you're an edge lord. It just means you like Dragons (or as I see Zard, the mythological Salamander) or Turtles with Cannons.
Venusaur has a very goofy design but it's part of why I love him so much and I'll admit it's easy to see why some people would think he looks stupid. There's a lot of people who just think Bulldogs are ugly and not cute, for example, but some people find Bulldogs and Pugs to have really sweet and endearing faces anyway so they still find them cute. I kind of feel the same way for the big leafy boi. He's just such a doof and I love him for that.
Still, if you don't like him, I can totally understand. His design logically wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but even if he's not the most popular starter, he's still number one in my heart.
Also thanks Game Freak for introducing Bottle Caps so I can use my girl from Leaf Green on the battle spot. I'm not a big fan of most of Gen 7 but that was a really nice thing to put in for those who don't want to breed and don't know how to inject.
