>Can use every Pokémon as long as it's caught in the first battle, every Pokémon is catchable for game completion/purification purposes.>Legendary beasts can be used but again, only if they were caught in their respective story bosses, and no more than one of them can be on your current team. Trying to catch them is an extremely high risk/reward endeavor.I've tried Colosseum with limited items in battle and it was a decent challenge, but very grindy.
If I ever try it again with no battle items and level caps then I'll probably hack in rare candies and purification items.
I tried a GoD locke but didn't finish it. There are double the Pokémon compared to Colosseum so I'm not sure if that's too many encounters as there's a pretty big difference from using the ~70 Pokémon to using just the 10 or so you would get if you go by met location like in the regular games. There are people who did Colosseum lockes and only used like 8 Pokémon in the entire run and that just doesn't seem fun at all for me. I think using every Pokémon in Colosseum adds to the charm, as it has that Fire Emblem feel of recruiting units, and most of the encounters are kind of shit anyway.
In GoD, I probably would take the 70 Pokémon plus whatever I end up catching on the first try of the Evice battle, and then go for pic related as the final boss.
