I find myself being found by my brother Kevin -- hey wait a second that was my brother's name in RoL even though he had Brandon's sprite and this Kevin has Gold's -- who tries to take me home when we run into a "shaman" being chased by grunts of "Dark Organization," and the Megaman 8 boss music plays again, this time a bit cleaned up.
The shaman has the three Kanto starters on her and tells me and Kevin to take one to defend ourselves. I pick Squirtle, the grunt sends out a Woobat, and we get a remake of the RBY trainer music.
Not the FR/LG trainer music, it seems to be a direct remake of RBY's music. Complete with no percussion.
We beat it, we're told to keep the Pokémon as thanks, and we go home, and the music in my house has screeching high notes in it. Kevin bugs me to talk about how scared of the future he is and shit, then leaves me alone. We're already off to a poor start.
