Almost all trainers have full teams of Pokemon with the same gender as their own when possible, with the exception of Pokemon that are exclusively the opposite gender or heavily skew towards it.
It's probably an unspoken societal rule in the Pokemon world. Not following it makes others suspect the trainer is a pokefucker, or indicates that the trainer is gay (see: Bugsy and Will having all female teams despite being guys).
