Going by his personality, Miette is still the best fit for Ash imo. He's energetic and athletic enough to keep up with her and despite his seeming density, he's pretty perceptive but more like unexperienced when it comes to romantic interactions so he doesn't really give any clear responses since he doesn't really know how to react simply because most of the girls just don't motivate him enough to actually care - except for Giselle and human!Latias.
Miette is assertive and perceptive enough to get Ash to act sincere and straightforward if they really interacted more, I really wish she was the XY companion instead of anime!Serena simply for the shipping kino
