/vp/ as a whole is likely going to skip this game, it's basically a mainline game with less content, less gameplay and most importantly, less Pokemon. There's not even GTS or a proper online battle system, this game is going to have maybe 30 hours of content sold for $60. It's not worth your money. If you want to get your nephew into Pokemon, just get him literally any other Pokemon game, I promise he can handle them, you can emulate a Pokemon game on even a shitty phone.
Other good RPGs would be Octopath Traveler, The World Ends With You, Battle Chef Brigade or SaGa 2, all of these are or will be on Eshop.
