I really hope you lot recognise that this combat system is just inherently unfun, its an obstacle at best. The only purpose of the combat system should be to advance the RPG mechanics of the game, and give reason for finding items, levelling, talking to NPC's so as to avoid the combat or make it easier.
I really just want to experience the story, exploration, character dialogue and puzzles, à la Monkey Island games. I don't want to play a turn based combat game
