It's because Primarina is nothing I have expected from Popplio. There's nothing on Popplio that suggests it was going to turn into a mermaid. It doesn't make sense.
There, simple as that. I was expecting some other kind of animal pinniped like Walrein and Dewgong, or some kind of aquatic clown, not this horrible feminine mermaid, and note that I have liked all starters since the first generation until Popplio's line of evolution were revealed.
