As far as I'm aware, the only MC's that have been mentioned in passing (and not by name) are Brendan/May and Lucas/Dawn, both times by their home regions respective Champions saying that they reminded them of challengers that gave them tough fights in the past.
Hilbert/Hilda were going to be the Red of gen 5, they even have unused text for the PWT Champions Tournament, but only their actions and name are ever brought up in B2W2, they've apparently been looking for N in an unknown region ever since they rounded up all the Plasma Sages they could (like how Red chased Team Rocket out of the Sevii Islands), but N never left Unova in the first place, so that's just gamespeak for "you're never seeing them again".
