The whole point of the games is a meta example of “it’s the players adventure from 20 years ago, but a new generation is experiencing it”.
That timeline tweet is still accurate, but the thing people miss is that the timeline is placed in a brand new universe each game. This is the LGPE Universe, every other games version of events would be different but remain in the fixed timeline.
>Red, Blue and Green left Pallet Town an unspecified number of years before LGPE. Long enough for them to have moved away.
>In their adventure, the Pokedex wasnt invented so the kids caught/researched Pokemon while writing the entries for the unmade dex themselves. This is why some are kind of exaggerated.
>Out of the three, at least two became Champion. The problem is though, before LGPE, becoming champion did not mean you were SITTING active champion. Its stated in LGPE that whoever beats Lance IN THESE GAMES becomes permanent champ retiring Lance and its now a game of King of the Hill.
>Mina is 13 in concept art. Meaning LGPE are 9 years before Sun and Moon’s version of events in THIS universe (Most likely Green being included would be a major universe difference).
>Giovanni is married, Archer is present, and Sabrina says a trainer will see her in 3 years time stronger than the protag.
