I thought you guys were exaggerating when you complained about the hax in this competition, then I got my ass handed to me thanks to bullshit RNG.
I got frozen 5 times during this competition, 3 of those times were during day 1 and on my Dragonite. Mewtwo and palkia were frozen once.
Anyways, this was my team. If I spotted a Darkrai or Smeargle during preview, I would lead with Garde and either Gengar or Palkia, Gengar being the preferred choice. The idea is to use Garde to bounce back Dark Void while Trace would often allow Garde to copy Darkrai's ability, then Gengar could go mega and keep both sleeping opponents on the field with Shadow Tag letting it set up a substitute.
Meanwhile, Palkia was my Kyogre counter. With an EV spread of 252 hp and 4 Def, this guy could also survive an ES from Arceus after a SDance and then hit back with 252 Sp Atk and modest nature. Sitrus as held item because lefties are retarded in these competitions. The battles are too short so Sitrus tends to heal more hp in the long run.
The rest of the guys were simple HO support, with Quiet mixed Aegis as my Trick Room counter. I think my team was fine for the most part. Most of my losses where due to bad plays from my part, a couple losses from hax and 3 disconnections.
I ended 19 - 11, with 3 losses being from faulty internet. Well, more like 2 since I once got disconnected from a battle I was going to lose. (If by any chance Skyythe is reading this, I'm sorry for that d/c. Wasn't on purpose)
