Some older depictions of Quagsire used to show it with white fingers and toes. My theory is that the anime artists and HAL's 3D modelers interpreted the white lighting on the tips of its fingers in its Gold/Silver sprites as pigmentation, even though that was never the intent from the start according to its original Sugimori art. Which is a shame, because I really like how the bits of white break up the monotonous blue color scheme. When I draw Quagsire, I still color its fingers and toes white.
