Literally just allow players to easily burst through the first island quicker and the game would have been praised for years.
Alola was comfy as fuck, had a great dex, a decent enough story to supply context for your journey, some of the most challenge in the series, and was a breath of fresh air for a series that even now continues to refuse to evolve.
