First of all, I would study construction a bit. Not obsessively, but enough to understand how a body or object works instead of just copying what you see.
Second, keep up the practice! And be bold in what you draw. Always aim to draw something a little harder every day.
And third... it's super important that you have fun! Not necessarely amusing fun... it can also be the fun of a challenge, the fun of figuring out something difficult.
And sidenote, ref pics are great for everything! Always keep them at hand.
