Gay Rick is the warden of Lord Avalugg, and Wulfric from XY's ancestor who also had Avalugg as an ace. He fights you 2v1 with Glalie and Froslass which is kind of cool but those are also the only pokemon he has and you're already at level 50 at this point. There are no trainer battles in the game that aren't part of the main story and the only time you fight people they 3 Pokemon at best anyways, usually only 1 or 2.
