Again, totally not doubting that people wouldn't buy the games (hell, I would and I dislike Kanto/Gen1) or that they'd make more money than a small eastern country. What I am against is any reason to make them. GF doesn't need the money at the moment. XY will pay for itself 3 hours after it's released.
If anything, I'd like to see a Hoenn remake because it hasn't had a chance in any not-2d form yet (gen 4/5 were "2.5" D) and it's basically the most varied region, town-wise, and has many of my favorite pokemon.
But as much as I'd love a Hoenn remake, I'd rather GF put their effort and work into newer games with great features, rather than wasting time and money on remakes.
