Anons, I have a real issue I need help with.

>Best in my family at catching pokemon, but we don't really have much of a use for them.
>Gifted a Kirlia by my grandmother while I was visiting her in Hoenn. It was female.

>Fast forward three years.
>I've got a career in data administration, I'm purchasing an RV to live in, and I can finally afford to bring my pokemon out to live with me.
Should I bring my Kirlia? Single men of my age with females from the ralts line kind of have a reputation. I'm not like that with my Kirlia (she's like an assistant who's good at magic tricks and board games), but I'm worried I'll be judged just for having her around. Not, "Gross, get away from me", but more of a "Uh-huh, sure. Just friends. Gotcha". I've also heard that Gardevoirs basically ensure, regardless of whether or not they're known about, that the man who owns them remains single. Is this just superstition, or should I take it seriously? My only other pokemon are Qwilfish (who I never interact with) and Slakoth. (Never took the trainer challenge, and I released most of my pokemon. Went to trade school instead.) Should I buy a normal pokemon just to fit in? What should I do?
