Alder's team is worse. I think he's a great character, but his team in BW just seems like GF forgot he was in the game, and just slapped six random Pokemon on him. His PWT team is pretty great though.

It feels like GF remembered at the last minute that he was in the game, and just slapped six random Pokemon on him and called it a day. Bothers me, since he's probably my favorite human character. Least he got his shit together for the PWT.

Alder. Cool old bro who knew about Pokemon, actually did shit in the plot, and has an awesome encounter theme. Terrible team, but his PWT team makes up for it.

I don't even think his battle theme is that bad.

The reason his team was so terrible is because there was really nothing left to give him from the Unova dex by the end of the game. Every other important NPC had the best Pokemon already. they kinda fixed it in the PWT at least, he's much tougher there.
