My problem is implied game mechanics being closer to Go - I want traditional turn-based battling and catching,
until there's a way to make it just like the anime, and if those screen shots that are floating around are accurate, then there is a good chance even random encounters are gone and you have to bump into Pokemon on the overworld (and again, going by those screenshots, the maps aren't BoTW size where there's room to explore and find them in wide open spaces, but cramped pre-determined maps, similar to SUMO.)
Also would be a bit disappointing with the Eevee/Pikachu Starter, but that's not the end of the world.
