>>51794696Yeah, a lot of mons have insanely good movesets and the game sometimes throws insane battles at you. Stuff like Nimbasa N is pretty hard to get out deathless.
>>51794704I've only gotten the chance to use Throh once and I wasn't all too impressed, but I could see it moving up a bit because it can learn everything to singlehandedly wipe any plasma grunt.
As for availability, I agree. Stuff like Sigilyph is good but it's super rare and you only have one shot to get it.
>>51796097I guess Liepard could work as an E4 pick if you're desperate, but it's low defenses and mediocre attacking stats don't do it any favors.
>>51796490>>51796524A lot of fair points, actually.
>Darmanitan & ArcheopsI feel like even though Darmanitan is arguably stronger than Archeops due to Sheer Force, it's not as fast and has worse defenses (albeit not by much), hence why I put Archeops in Borderline Bannable but not Darmanitan.
>Sawk & MienshaoWhile Sawk is everything you want a Fighting-type to be in Unova, I'd say Mienshao is better purely due to it's survivability with Regenerator, U-Turn, and Drain Punch. That being said, Sawk does have the edge in terms of the whole playthrough. Sawk is good throughout the entire run whereas Mienshao only really becomes phenomenal once it can finally evolve right when you're about to fight the E4.
>Elemental MonkeysSimisear really just has no place in Unova. Too many trainers carry Boldore, Palpitoad, Gurdurr, and other mons that can hit it for super-effective damage and everything Simisear hits supereffectively can usually be handled by a Flying-type.
I will agree with you on Simipour being much better. Simipour is the fastest Water-type in Unova you can get whereas Simisage has to compete with mons like Whimsicott, not to mention that Simipour is one of the very few consistent answers against Clay's Excadrill.
Swoobat really gets cucked. At least it gets Charge Beam for Skyla so it's good there.
