>>51732909No, I finished it exactly as I intended. It is neither half-baked nor retarded. It is a fair point, that you cannot refute, and so you’re attempting to diminish it instead. Every time someone brings up the dialogue in the game informing the player that Team Rocket is a dangerous criminal organization, you respond by saying that the dialogue is forced or cringey, but you never specify a particular piece of dialogue.
That is probably because you, personally, do not remember any dialogue that points out Team Rocket is evil. You’re only saying that it’s bad to disparage and devalue the point made, because you don’t have a counterargument.
>There is a Team Rocket grunt in Mt. Moon who tells you outright that Team Rocket are “Pokemon gangsters,” and that they “strike fear,” with their strength. People outside of Mt. Moon are afraid of them. There are practically an army of them in Mt. Moon, so we know there’s a lot of them. >We SEE Team Rocket break into a person’s home and steal something. We know that they aren’t just opportunistic businessmen, they are criminals who will do anything for money, including hurting others. >A Team Rocket member tries to strongarm us into joining Team Rocket, so they have no qualms with bullying children. By Cerulean City alone we have a pretty clear picture of who they are and what they’re like; they’re scumbags.>On the S.S. Anne, there is an interpol officer that has come to investigate Team Rocket, so they’re a big deal. >As soon as we get to Lavender Town, we discover they killed a Pokemon’s mother. They’re brutish and don’t care who they hurt. The Marowak thing is not insignificant. Nothing in the games ever confirms or suggests that we, the player, have killed someone else’s Pokemon. Our Pokemon don’t die in fights, so we have no reason to assume our opponent's would. Pointing out that Team Rocket KILLED a Pokemon is a clear indicator that they are different from us.
