Quick one-off, but did you know in the proto for GS, the Hoppip line was all cat-based? In the final version the line as a whole is much more ambiguous, with Hoppip still looking cat-like, Skiploom becoming more dog-like, complete with floppy ears, and Jumpluff simply being a cheerleader of sorts.
You can see a remnant of its catlike nature in Gen 2, since you can breed Pay Day onto it. They got rid of that every gen since.
Thought it was an interesting piece of trivia, since Skiploom's line is not really one of those mons you'd assume has any animal association at all. And since it's not, I'll just leave it with this one pic.
