All fantastic designs.

I think the "practice" so to speak on regional formes and evolutions has done the designers a lot of good in retaining what made the original special better while still changing a design in the cross gen evolution. I ALSO think it helps that they're doing them in smaller batches. When you're doing 20 cross-gens at once like gen 4 there's bound to be a few misses, even if some of the gen 4 ones are so natural it's hard to imagine the Pokemon without them.

Personally I'd really love to see a Parasect split evo be introduced next. One option where the Mushroom wins and it's Grass/Ghost and one option where the Bug wins and it's Bug/Fighting

The only 3 actual cross gen evolutions since Gen 6 have been Kleavor to Scyther, Ursaluna to Ursaring, and Wyrdeer to Stantler.
All 3 are excellent and definitive proof that the practice should have never been done away with. Fuck wishy washy regional branching evos. Give me cross gen evos.
