Outside of that he likely gets paid from the requests his laboratory completes, which would we can estimate to be at the least $38k a year based on the average veterinary technician salary.
So it’s actually not that far fetched that he would be able to afford round trip flights to other countries for Ash and Goh for his research. I actually counted how many times Sakuragi has sent the boys out to travel which was 55, and he usually buys the tickets last minute so I once again went with an average of about $330 for a last minute flight, multiplied it by 2 for Ash and Goh which is $660, and additional $330 x10 for the 10 times Koharu has traveled overseas with the boys.
So in total Ash and Goh’s excursions has cost Sakuragi $36,300 and an additional $3,300 for Koharu, a grand total of $39,600.
And what the hell, I decided to go full autism and figure out how much Sakuragi Labs costs, which on average is $2,250-$3100 a month, adding up to about $37,200 at the max.
So altogether Sakuragi spends a little less than $80,000 to operate his research lab.
