They are blood cells. Erycoon is specifically an erythrocyte aka a red blood cell. Those transport O2, CO2, and iron throughout the body via blood vessels. Cauterizing stops wounds from bleeding by sealing off the broken blood vessels. Cauterizing inhibits RBC transport (although beneficial in this case) which would defeat the point of a RBC mon.
With regards to Leukoon, which is a leukocyte, aka a White Blood Cell, those are the police force of the body. They destroy foreign pathogens and invasive bodies and keep the body safe from harm. Cauterizing wounds actually leaves the body open to further infection despite sterilizing the area initially. Sure the wound is sterilized and clean, but you also just cut off circulation to that area and the immune system can't respond efficiently. So again, Cauterize defeats the purpose of a WBC mon.
Now for a mon that deals with heat, great idea, but not the -oons.
